For Their 30th Anniversary Show, Souls Of Mischief, The Pharcyde, And Tha Alkaholiks Collaborate.

Together, Souls Of Mischief, The Pharcyde, and Tha Alkaholiks will celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip hop as well as the achievements of their seminal albums.

The group published a flier for the next event, which will take place on August 13 at the Novo in Los Angeles, in a post on its official Instagram account.

The three bands will each perform their seminal album in its entirety at the one-night-only performance, 93 ‘Til Infinity by Souls Of Mischief, Bizarre Ride II by The Pharcyde, and 21 & Over by The Alkaholiks.

A-Plus, Opio, Phesto, and Tajai, who together make up Souls Of Mischief, have had a busy year. To commemorate the release of their debut album, which was published 30 years ago, the quartet previously announced in February that they would also go on an anniversary tour.

In Bristol, United Kingdom, in March, the globe tour began. The tour has so far featured performances in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, Paris, and Athens, among other cities on its 93-date itinerary. In Sofia, Bulgaria, the stop on the European tour came to a conclusion in April.

The group started the North American leg in Monterey, California, last month. Along with these major cities, they also intend to stop in Toronto, New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Kansas City, Memphis, San Antonio, San Francisco, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and other locations.

The Souls, a member of the Hieroglyphics group that also included Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Casual, Pep Love, DJ Tour, and the producer Domino, released their debut album, 93 ‘Til Infinity, on February 13, 1993, through Jive Records.

The album gave birth to the singles “That’s When Ya Lost,” “Never No More,” and the ground-breaking album’s title track. It was praised for its internal rhyme schemes, live bass beats, and obscure jazz and funk samples. The latter is still a crucial track for every rap lover, serving as an accurate metaphor for the album’s continuing appeal.
