Although its first release date was slated for last Friday (May 12), Almost Healed will now be available on May 26. Lil Durk’s skull is covered in gauze as his eye bleeds in the cover image, which was unveiled on Instagram ahead of the scheduled release.
Fans can hope to see SZA on the project even though it’s unknown who, if anyone, will be featured because Lil Durk just made a public request for her to appear.
On his Instagram Story, he commented, “@Sza the goat y’all better not sleep or get blind every female every car every sale she really her.” “I need a smash, not just a regular song, on my album ASAP. Go tag SZA, tell her Smurk needs her, then blow her stuff down.
In a different Story, Durk provided yet another cryptic update on the record, writing: “This bi$ch done without half the help I been asking for let’s goooooo sorry I ain’t been connecting to fans I’m almost healed.”
The 7220 record, which was released in 2022 and was the 30-year-old OTF boss’s first to chart on the Billboard 200 after selling 120,500 total album-equivalent units in its first week in March, kept him busy.
In December, Durk made a comeback with the release of his Loyal Bros 2 compilation album, which featured his Only The Family group. Smurk’s remarkable “Mad Max” collaboration with Future, in which he bizarrely taunted the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, served as the project’s centerpiece.
