This holiday season, GloRilla is feeling charitable and recently gave one admirer $1,000.
The fan, who appeared to have nothing to lose, took a chance on Friday by tagging the “Tomorrow 2” rapper in a post asking for a little cash assistance (November 18).
“Aye, can I borrow 400 until next week?” the fan wrote, tagging Glo. I’LL PAY BACK SUH #HELPASISTAOUT #CASHAPPME.”
GloRilla inquired about the fan’s intended use of her funds to make sure it was appropriate. GloRilla requested verification after they said it was for bills before their upcoming birthday and appeared to receive it. A short while later, the fan submitted a screenshot of $1,000 to CashApp along with the Memphis native’s additional remark, “Stay blessed.”
GloRilla has many reasons to be grateful. She’s getting ready to embark on her first headlining tour in addition to murdering the stage with special guest Cardi B at the 2022 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 20). The journey will begin in January in Charlotte, North Carolina, then travel through important locations like Las Vegas, New York City, and Chicago before coming to an end in Memphis, but the exact date has not yet been determined.
Her EP of the same name, which became available on streaming sites earlier this month, is supported by the Anyways, Life’s Great… Tour. Her breakthrough singles “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” and the Cardi-assisted “Tomorrow 2” are featured on the nine-track album. Just over 21,000 albums were sold in the first week, according to HDD, giving GloRilla her first top 10 on the Billboard 200.
And as if that weren’t enough, GloRilla has now been nominated for a Grammy. It has been revealed that “F.N.F.” is up for Best Rap Performance at the 2023 Grammys, which takes place in February.
“The same song they were clowning me & my friends about saying we was ugly & dusty just got nominated for a Grammy,” GloRilla wrote on Twitter in response to the nomination. “WHEN GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE YOU CAN NOT FAIL.”
