The segment centered on the reactions of prominent Black Trump supporters, including actors Faizon Love and Charleston White, as well as former NFL star Le’Veon Bell, all of whom publicly celebrated Trump’s return to the White House.
The analysts explored the mixed reactions, with Brown and Larkins pointing out that some supporters seemed motivated more by the desire for attention than genuine political allegiance. While Brown expressed disappointment in the election’s outcome, he emphasized that life would move forward. Larkins, on the other hand, cautioned against placing too much trust in any political figure, advocating instead for critical thinking and individual empowerment.
Voting statistics were also discussed during the segment, revealing that 86% of Black voters cast their ballots for Kamala Harris, with 78% of Black men and 92% of Black women supporting her, while 20% of Black men and 7% of Black women backed Trump. In contrast, 54% of Latino men voted for the former president. The analysts also raised concerns about potential shifts in the democratic process and expressed unease about Trump’s Senate support, as well as global reactions to the election results.
