One of hip-hop’s most popular and lucrative figures, occasionally missed out on some significant bags.
Recently, 50 Cent said that Eminem turned down a $8 million deal to play at the World Cup in an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood.
Additionally, the offer was made when the two appeared at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show with Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar.
His and Eminem’s teams were contacted by the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup organizers to sign on to perform, according to FIFA.
“Because of the Super Bowl, I got an inquiry about the World Cup,” the Queens mogul stated. “They had a budget of $9 million for it. So they was gonna give— I would have taken one, Big. Then the other eight would have been for Em.”
In the meantime, 50 Cent declared that they would participate in “the biggest live sporting event in the world” if anyone was interested in a one-and-done. What else could pass muster if the FIFA World Cup doesn’t?
However, after they made the offer, 50 Cent called Paul Rosenberg, Em’s manager, to discuss it. They ultimately declined it. There is no way of knowing whether the “Lose Yourself” rapper heard the news directly, even though it seems unlikely.
