Drake's 'Nokia' Tops Charts Amid Mixed Reviews For $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

2024 was a challenging year for Drake, particularly due to his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar. Despite Kendrick taking home five Grammy awards last month, including one for a diss track aimed at Drake, and performing it at the Super Bowl, Drake has been finding success in his own projects as 2025 begins. On Valentine’s Day, Drake released his highly anticipated album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, a collaboration with PartyNextDoor.

The album has received mixed reviews, but one track, “Nokia,” has quickly gained popularity. The song recently hit No. 1 on U.S. Apple Music, marking it as the third song from the album to do so. Other tracks from the album, such as “Gimme A Hug,” “Die Trying,” and “Somebody Loves Me,” have also remained in the top ten, contributing to the overall success of the release.

However, amidst the success of his latest album, Drake surprised fans by canceling the remainder of his “Anita Max Win” tour. A representative for the Toronto rapper explained that the team was working on rescheduling the affected dates and adding additional shows. Tickets for the canceled shows would remain valid for the new dates, but refunds were also available. Although rumors suggested that low ticket sales were the reason for the cancellation, these claims were quickly dismissed.

During an episode of The Breakfast Club, Loren Lorosa revealed that the cancellation was due to a scheduling issue. According to her source, the problem was a routing error near the end of the tour, which would have resulted in Drake performing four shows in just 16 days. This would have led to wasted time and money, as he would have spent several days in Australia without any scheduled shows.
