Drake’s It’s All A Blur tour has officially shattered the record for the highest-grossing hip hop tour of all time. After selling out all 80 shows across North America, the tour raked in an astounding $320.5 million in total revenue, according to an Instagram post by Genius.
The post also provided a breakdown of ticket sales from the 39 venues Drake performed at, revealing that a total of 1.3 million tickets were sold over the course of the tour.
In November 2023, with only 30 shows completed, It’s All A Blur had already surpassed Kendrick Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour, earning $129.7 million and cementing Drake’s place at the top of the touring game.
Despite early speculation that Drake could have sold out stadiums, his arena-focused strategy has clearly paid off. The tour achieved several significant milestones, including breaking the previous hip hop tour record held by Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour, which grossed $110.9 million from 73 shows and 929,000 tickets sold.
Drake also set another record during his Washington, D.C. shows on July 28 and 29, becoming the first rapper in history to earn over $5 million from a single arena concert in the U.S. According to Touring Data, the two-night event at Capital One Arena brought in a combined $10.064 million, with each show averaging $5.032 million in ticket sales. The concerts drew 34,303 attendees, with ticket prices averaging $293.40.
Drake referenced the remarkable achievement during his Montreal tour stop last month, performing his 2013 hit “Started From the Bottom,” where he humorously reflected on going from earning $500,000 per show to now securing $5 million.
Drake continues to dominate both music charts and touring milestones, and It’s All A Blur has cemented his position as a global superstar in the hip hop world.
