Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour, which has drawn significant attention in recent weeks, will not proceed as originally planned. Several scheduled performances in Australia and New Zealand have been postponed, with plans to announce new dates and additional shows.
A statement initially shared with Rolling Stone AU/NZ cited a “scheduling conflict” as the reason for the changes. Ticket holders for the affected shows will have their tickets honored for the rescheduled dates, with refunds available for those who prefer.
When asked for comment, a representative for Drake confirmed the postponements, stating, “Due to a scheduling conflict, four of Drake’s 16 sold-out shows in Australia and New Zealand will be postponed. We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows. All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.”
Drake has not personally addressed the postponements. The tour, which began earlier this month at the RAC Arena in Perth, continued with multiple performances in Melbourne and Sydney before reaching Brisbane. The affected dates include shows in Brisbane (March 4), Sydney (March 7), and Auckland (March 15 and 16).
Throughout the tour, fan interactions have been a recurring theme, with handmade signs frequently catching Drake’s attention. In one instance, Drake responded to a fan’s sign by offering to cover their mother’s cancer treatment.
The postponements coincide with the release of $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, a collaborative album by Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR. The project debuted during Drake’s time in Australia and New Zealand and is currently the No. 1 album in the U.S.
