Drake Responds to Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Tracks with “Family Matters”.

The ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has intensified with the release of Drake’s new song “Family Matters.” This track follows Kendrick’s diss tracks “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA” released earlier this week.

“Family Matters” includes Drake’s response to specific lyrics from “Euphoria.” Lamar previously questioned Drake’s parenting, which Drake addresses in the line, “You mentioned my seed, now deal with his dad/I gotta go bad, I gotta go bad.” Drake also takes aim at Lamar’s collaborators, including Dave Free, Anthony Tiffith, and Baby Keem.

Beyond Lamar, Drake targets other hip hop figures who have recently criticized him, such as Metro Boomin, Future, and Rick Ross. The track also references the legal issues surrounding Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which faced a cease-and-desist letter from Tupac’s estate for using AI to imitate the late rapper’s voice.

“Family Matters” includes one of Drake’s most personal attacks on Lamar, suggesting a possibility of domestic violence by Lamar. However, there are no public accusations of domestic violence against Lamar.

This is Drake’s third diss track aimed at Lamar this spring, following “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” The tension reportedly began with the Future and Metro Boomin song “Like That” which seemingly referenced Drake.
