Drake Previews New Song From His Upcoming Iceman Album

Drake shared a new song snippet early Tuesday morning through a black-and-white Instagram Story, returning to a track he previously played during episode three of his Iceman livestream series. In the clip, he sings the line, “If my baby split up, that doesn’t mean we’re breakin’ up,” giving fans another preview as he continues shaping the album rollout. Listeners reacted quickly online, with some expressing excitement that the song may be nearing release and noting that Drake appears to be responding to the positive reception it received during the livestream.

Others were less enthusiastic, with criticism aimed at his recent musical direction and calls for him to return to working more closely with longtime collaborator 40. Several fans also used the moment to ask for the full Iceman project to be released without further delay.

Drake has not announced a release date for Iceman, though he has suggested that the album may arrive before the end of the year. Throughout the rollout, he has been using livestream episodes to debut songs from the tracklist and collect reactions in real time. So far, he has unveiled “What Did I Miss?,” “Which One” featuring Central Cee, and “Dog House” with Yeat and Julia Wolf. In a recent interview, he described the livestream approach as a way to receive immediate feedback and connect directly with listeners in public settings at the end of each episode. He said that the format has encouraged audience participation, created new opportunities for theorizing among fans, and shaped how people follow the narrative of the rollout.

Drake also mentioned that major plans are in place for the finale of the livestream series, though he has not announced the date of the concluding episode.
