Drake Praises 'mentor' Bun B's Trill Burgers While Paying Surprise Visit To Houston Restaurant

Drake is the most recent musician to laud Bun B’s Trill Burgers after visiting the Houston eatery earlier this week to honor one of his mentors.

On Monday (June 19), The 6 God paid a surpise visit to the new H-Town institution’s physical site and gave the UGK rapper’s culinary efforts his seal of approval.

Drizzy declared the Trill Burger to be the “best burger” he has ever tasted in his life when reviewing it on his Instagram Story.

“This is one of my mentors; I try not to use the word OG. Drake introduced Bun as “one of my favorite people in the world” before asking him to share the location of his fans.

He responded, “Right now you’re eating one of the best hamburgers in the world at Trill Burgers.” “Everyone here is really respectful. Every so often, we bring in a few significant deals. possibly not this large.

After devouring the burger and a side of fries, Drake concluded the video by calling it “the best burger I’ve ever had, for real.”

Relationship between the UGK rapper and Drizzy goes back to the beginning of the 6 God’s career, when Bun B gave him a Texas-sized co-sign. Drake contributed to Bun B’s “Put It Down” in 2010, while Bun B reciprocated by contributing to the 6 Gods’ Thank Me Later cut “Uptown” with Lil Wayne.

Drake also paid tribute to Bun and his late UGK rhyme partner Pimp C on the Take Care song “Under Ground Kings.”

Trill Burgers, which began as a series of pop-up restaurants in Houston in 2021, won the title of “best burger in America” last summer from Good Morning America. The likes of Tyler, The Creator, James Harden, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, and others have all endorsed it; the latter said the burgers are “like a Dr. Dre beat.”

Although Bun B has been involved in the Hip Hop scene for more than three decades, his passion for food has only recently come to light. The longtime foodie detailed how he got into the burger industry in an interview with HipHopDX last year.

I’ve always loved food because I’m a big lad, remarked Bun B. “A little more than ten years ago, a friend of mine and I launched the food site You Got To Eat This, my friend Premium Pete from Brooklyn.

“We connected over cuisine, but we first met in different ways. I’ve been a big supporter of food trucks even locally, in the city, and I try to point folks in the direction of different fantastic restaurants.
