Drake announced the return of OVO Fest during a surprise appearance at Central Cee’s concert in Toronto on Saturday (May 24). Speaking from the VIP balcony at History, Drake told the crowd, “I’ll see you this summer… OVO Fest will be back this year,” then invited Central Cee to join the lineup.
The last OVO Fest took place in 2022, featuring Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Kardinal Offishall, and more. This year’s return follows Drake’s recent feud with Kendrick Lamar and an ongoing lawsuit with Universal Music Group.
Though no dates or guests have been confirmed, Drake hinted that Central Cee is likely involved. He also praised Cee’s track “Day in the Life,” calling it a favorite. OVO Fest is usually held in August during Toronto’s Caribana weekend.
Drake also performed “Nokia” from his 2025 joint album with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, at the event.
