Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Collaborative Album Hits Platinum

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have earned two RIAA certifications for their joint album $ome $exy $ongs 4U, less than a year after its release. As of Nov. 10, the album is Platinum, having sold one million album-equivalent units.

The 21-track LP, released on Valentine’s Day, set an Apple Music record for first-day global streams for an R&B/Soul album. Singles like “Gimmie a Hug” and “Nokia” were performed on their co-headlining Some Special Shows 4 U Tour, with “Nokia” also certified Platinum. Six additional tracks, including “CN Tower,” “Spiderman Superman,” and “Die Trying,” earned Gold certifications. The song “Somebody Loves Me” received a 2026 Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Since the album, Drake has been working on his ninth solo album, Iceman, scheduled for release by the end of 2025.
