Drake & 21 Savage's "Knife Talk" OG Version Is Shared By Metro Boomin

The original version of the song “Knife Talk,” which was later acquired by Drake, has been made available by Metro Boomin and 21 Savage.

On Tuesday, January 3, Young Metro tweeted a link to the original file, which just includes the Project Pat sample and 21 Savage. The commander of the Slaughter Gang raps a second verse in the original version, unleashing a barrage of snarling threats and supervillain boasts.

“You sneak dissin’, you gon’ get some teeth missin’ / You weak bitches, we raw strip and kill snitches / Your bitch diggin’, she diggin’ all this damn drip and / I’m chef sinkin’, I pink slip, the ink different,” he raps.

The menacing song, which was originally named “Gang Shit,” was planned to appear on Metro and 21’s collaborative album Savage Mode II in 2020.

Drake got “Gang Shit” just two days before Certified Lover Boy’s arrival in September 2021 and transformed the Metro Boomin rhythm into what the public now recognizes as “Knife Talk,” as 21 Savage stated on DJ Akademiks’ Off the Record show.
