Fans of Doja Cat are familiar with the rapper’s openness, so it comes as no surprise that she shared her most recent life update—some new tattoos.
The Planet Her star displayed some recent additions to her expanding collection of tattoos on Sunday (June 25) by posting photos of them on Instagram. According to the article, she had a huge skeletal bat tattoo on her back last month, and a spider just started spinning its web.
Doja Cat put more ink to her hand, which already has an eye with a sword cutting through it down the middle, and tagged New York-based tattoo artist Mr. K.
She initially shared some explanations of the meaning behind the skeletal tattoo around the time she received it. According to the artist, the pattern is meant to symbolize “death in the sense of letting go of the old and bringing in the new.”
Additionally, it refers to “transition and the start of a new beginning.” She hasn’t yet disclosed the motivations behind her most recent acquisition, though.
While some of her admirers appear to be thrilled for her, others accused her of being a troll: “People only started fucking with Doja when Planet Her become famous. Doja has always been this way; she will continuously harass you until she gets bored, one fan said.
The rapper was allegedly active in satanism, according to the other participants. Someone said, “Please respect yourselves. I’m free if you say so. You are not free, no. because you’ve been thinking about Satan. Those who stray from their nature are not truly free. Reconnect with your human nature and live as one.”
The rapper recently confirmed that Ice Spice and Doechii will be appearing as special guests on her forthcoming Scarlet tour, which may be related to the reported “new transition” he is through. Later this year, on Halloween (October 31), the North American tour will begin in San Francisco.
