Doja Cat Previews New Music from Upcoming Album Vie.

Doja Cat gave her fans an early listen to her upcoming fifth studio album, Vie, during an Instagram Live session on March 28. The album, which is expected to be released before the end of the year, was previewed through a series of song snippets. The session featured a variety of sounds, including one track that carried a strong ‘90s R&B influence and another that leaned toward a pop ballad style. Throughout the livestream, Doja scrolled through multiple songs, occasionally pausing to ask viewers, “Should I leak this?”

This new project follows Scarlet, her 2023 album, which included several well-received singles such as Paint the Town Red, Agora Hills, and Demons. So far in 2024, she has remained musically active through collaborations with other artists. She appeared on Born Again, a song with Lisa and Raye, and contributed to Just Us, a track with Jack Harlow that was released earlier this month.

Jack Harlow recently spoke about his collaboration with Doja Cat, highlighting how long he had wanted to work with her. “I’ve been wanting to do a song with Doja for four or five years,” he said in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “This is an important moment for me because I think she’s an incredibly talented artist and a very gifted individual. I’m really happy with how much enthusiasm she put into the song.”

Earlier this year, Doja had hinted at a possible Valentine’s Day release for Vie, noting that the album title translates to “life” in French. However, since the holiday has passed without an official release, fans may need to wait a bit longer for the full project to arrive.
