Doechii is riding a wave of success with Grammy nominations, a standout Tiny Desk Concert, and a captivating TV performance — and she’s ready to keep the momentum going with her debut album in 2025.
In an interview with Variety on December 6, the TDE artist confirmed her debut LP will feature live instrumentation. “All I can think about is this album,” Doechii said. “I’m looking forward to making more hits, more music, and achieving more goals.”
Days earlier, on December 4, she performed a medley from her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The self-choreographed performance honored MF DOOM and celebrated Hip Hop’s impact on Black women.
“This is my take on the future of Hip Hop,” Doechii wrote on X, calling her performance a tribute to Blackness, luxury, and history.
