Doechii has released a new verse on the remix of The Weeknd and Playboi Carti’s song “Timeless.” The rapper opens the track by referencing her album Alligator Bites Never Heal, celebrating that it has reached one billion streams.
In her verse, she raps: “My brand grossin’ numbers you’ll never believe / It’s a billi’ on the streams,” and continues with lines about label support and her success: “Top Dawg cashin’ out Doechii stock… I been that girl since hopscotch, I’m too legit.”
The remix arrives just after Doechii’s Met Gala debut, which drew attention for her dramatic entrance. She was filmed leaving The Mark Hotel surrounded by umbrellas and a privacy screen. In the video, she asked for more umbrellas, which led to criticism over her tone with assistants.
Responding on TikTok, Doechii said the experience was overwhelming but meaningful, writing: “This was the night we all dreamed of and my team killed it (umbrellas aside).” She added, “God forbid a girl needs more umbrellas.”
