DJ Drama Claims That Lil Uzi Vert Has "Replaced" Meek Mill As Philadelphia's Anthem Artist

According to DJ Drama’s, Lil Uzi Vert has “replaced” Meek Mill as the Philadelphia Eagles’ new anthem singer.

Before the Eagles’ Super Bowl LVII matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on February 12, TMZ caught up with the Gangsta Grillz DJ at an airport on Wednesday (February 1). He named Uzi the team’s new go-to musician.

Last weekend’s NFC Championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers saw Baby Pluto walk the team out while his smash song “Just Wanna Rock” played loudly throughout Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. With a comfortable 37-1 victory, the Eagles secured their fourth Super Bowl appearance in team history.

“I think it’s fair to say that ‘I Just Wanna Rock’ has replaced — with all due respect — ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ as the new anthem of Philadelphia, as the new anthem of the Philadelphia Eagles this year,” Drama stated. “I’m looking forward to hearing that song many, many times [throughout] Super Bowl weekend.”

2018’s unlikely Super Bowl LII champion Philadelphia Eagles played Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares” as their anthem. It was deemed “the greatest Philly sports anthem ever” by NBCSports Philadelphia following their victory.
