Dejhha Opens Up About Her Journey, Alter Ego Chloe, and What’s Next for Her Music Career.

In a recent interview on Philly First48, 18-year-old artist Dejhha shared insights into her rise in Philadelphia’s music scene. Born and raised in Logan, Philadelphia, Dejhha began writing rap lyrics at the age of 8, using music as a therapeutic outlet to cope with the challenges of her childhood.

Dejhha’s sound is shaped by a diverse mix of artists, including Nicki Minaj, Pink, and Lil Wayne, blending elements from different genres to create her unique style. Despite initially gaining attention through her battle rap performances, she’s quick to highlight that she sees herself primarily as a music artist.

Her battle rap persona, Chloe, has earned her recognition in the battle rap community, including a viral freestyle on TikTok that garnered over 500,000 views and a significant win in a freestyle competition. Dejhha’s impressive performance against Six Savage helped her gain a platform on *Queen Flip*, further solidifying her status in the battle rap world. She’s set to face new challenges, with an upcoming battle in London and several music releases on the horizon.

The interview also touched on ‘Takeover Files’, a platform celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a nationwide tour. Known for its “Takeover Bars” segment, where artists showcase their skills before stepping into the battle ring, the platform has grown into a family-oriented community supporting artists at various stages of their careers. The CEO of Takeover Files emphasized their focus on giving artists opportunities that extend beyond just battle rap, with recent collaborations like their partnership with the ‘Trenches’ battle league for a major event.

As Dejhha continues to rise, her confidence and ambition are clear. She’s focused on expanding her presence in the music industry, ready to release new singles, and committed to staying true to her artistic roots. The interview concluded with a discussion on the current state of Philadelphia’s music scene, with Dejhha expressing a desire to inspire others and prove that there’s more to her artistry than just battle rap.
