Deezer Reports 20,000 Fully Ai-Generated Tracks Uploaded Daily, Now 18% Of All Content On Platform.

Deezer says over 20,000 fully AI-generated tracks are uploaded to its platform daily, accounting for around 18% of all uploaded content. That’s up from 10% in January, when the platform introduced an AI music detection tool to help manage synthetic content.

Aurelien Herault, Deezer’s Chief Innovation Officer, said the influx is ongoing. “AI generated content continues to flood streaming platforms like Deezer, and we see no sign of it slowing down,” he stated. While Deezer sees potential in generative AI, it is focused on protecting artists’ rights and improving transparency for users. The company says its tool helps remove fully AI-generated content from algorithmic recommendations.

Deezer’s detection system can identify 100% AI-generated music from tools like Suno and Udio. It’s also being developed to generalize detection, even without tool-specific training data. Meanwhile, lawsuits against AI platforms over alleged misuse of copyrighted music remain unresolved, and concerns persist over how governments may handle copyright laws as AI expands.

Deezer remains the only major music streaming platform to sign a global statement supporting responsible AI training.
