DeevoDaGenius has released a new project titled Tell God Thank You, a 14-track collection now available exclusively through E11evationRecords.com for $30.
Announced via Instagram, the Boston-based artist and producer shared that the entire project was self-produced and delivered independently, without distribution on streaming platforms.
The rollout also came with personal context. In the caption, DeevoDaGenius referenced his family’s immigration to the United States, drawing a connection between their journey and his current age of 26. “My people came to America at age 26 (my age now) so that I could have da life I have now. So this is my way of giving thanks to them and the Most High,” he wrote.
The project includes features from several artists within the underground and independent hip-hop scenes, including Funeral Ant Bell, Kil the Artist, BlueHillBill, Estee Nack, BoriRock, Elcamino, and Tega. The cover artwork was created by DeevoDaGenius in collaboration with @_clydeblack.
The artist did not share whether Tell God Thank You will be released on major streaming platforms at a later date. As of now, the project is only available via direct purchase through his official platform.
