DaBaby was quick to praise J.Cole’s recent purchase of the Charlotte Hornets, calling it “inspiring.”
DaBaby spoke with The Bootleg Kev Podcast’s host recently at the 2023 BET Awards about a variety of topics, including Cole’s new business venture. When asked by Bootleg Kev, he remarked on how “dope” the action was and even said that he might think about doing the same in the future.
“[It’s] dope as hell,” he exclaimed. I won’t criticize the Hornets in any way, but it does.
I love that J.Cole [is] in there, bro, because hopefully he’ll come and shake some sh*t up and change some things about. We require dogs.
DaBaby also spoke on cancel culture, Boosie Badazz’s recent arrest, and other topics throughout the brief conversation.
After Michael Jordan sold his primary ownership of the Charlotte Hornets earlier this month, J. Cole acquired a portion of the team.
The Fayetteville rapper, along with country musician Eric Church, is a member of The Buyer Group, which is run by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall, according to a statement made by the Hornets at that time.
