Boston rapper Cousin Stizz is marking a major milestone. The artist has announced a special live show celebrating 10 years since the release of his breakout debut Suffolk County, the project that first introduced him to the world and helped put Boston rap on the national radar.
The one-night event, titled Suffolk County Live, is set for Saturday, August 16 at Paradise Rock Club, a landmark venue in Boston’s music scene. According to Stizz, supporters can expect special guests and a full-circle moment as he returns to where it all began—both literally and creatively.
He made the announcement via Instagram, writing: “10 years. Suffolk County Live. Saturday 8/16 @ Paradise. Special guests. Tix on sale Wednesday 10am. Link in bio.”
Originally released in 2015, Suffolk County was Stizz’s first official project and a defining moment for Boston hip-hop. Featuring production from Tee-WaTT and Latrell James, and tracks like “Fresh prince” and “No Bells,” the tape helped solidify his signature laid-back delivery and set the tone for everything that followed—including his signing to RCA and a global touring run.
Stizz reflected briefly in one of his posts, calling Suffolk County the body of work that “took me around the globe and back and changed my life.”
Tickets for Suffolk County Live go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. via the link in his bio. No word yet on the guest lineup, but if the project’s legacy is any indicator, the energy will be heavy on nostalgia—and homegrown pride.
