Converse Announces SHAI 001 “Winter Red” Ahead of December Release

Converse Hoops has officially confirmed the release of the SHAI 001 “Winter Red,” scheduled to drop on December 11 through Converse.com and select retailers for $130. The new colorway takes its inspiration from the winterberry plant, known for holding its vibrant red tone through cold weather.

This edition marks a shift from the monochrome look of earlier SHAI 001 releases. Pine green accents appear on the zipper, tongue logo, outsole, and heel, offering a subtle seasonal contrast that still fits within the minimalist direction of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s signature line.

The release arrives as Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder continue an impressive start to their season. Sitting at 17-1, the reigning NBA champions have fueled conversations about whether they could challenge the 2015-2016 Warriors’ regular-season record.

Shai is expected to debut the “Winter Red” pair on Christmas Day when the Thunder face Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. Detailed images highlight the model’s streamlined build and understated holiday palette.

The Converse SHAI 001 “Winter Red” is set for December 11, 2025. Additional retailer links will be available through launch calendars as the date approaches.
