Chance The Rapper is organizing the Black Star Line Festival, which will take place in Ghana on January 6, 2023, with the help of his close friend Vic Mensa. The festival will take place in Accra, Ghana’s capital and largest city, and is named after a shipping company that the late political activist Marcus Garvey founded.
“When Vic and I started our careers and started touring, we did shows all over the US,” Chance said about the event. “Eventually we started touring in Europe, we did shows in Asia, South America, and Central America, but we never had a chance to play our music for the people who support us the most.”
Chano and Ghanaian musician King Promise shared the song “YAH Know” as the festival got closer. Additionally, a visual for their joint effort was made public.
