Coi Leray Crowns Herself Modern-Day ‘Queen Of Versatility’ After Dave East Collab

Coi Leray considers herself the queen of versatility among rappers of her generation because of how far she has come in the music industry.

When it comes to her place in hip hop and getting the bouquets she believes she deserves, the 26-year-old isn’t hesitant to speak her mind. On Thursday, July 13, Leray lauded herself as the “queen of versatility” in a tweet. “I’m the queen at versatility in my generation, fasho,” she wrote.

Fans filled the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk when Coi Leray’s audacious statement was repeated, asking her to “pump the breaks” and citing celebrities like Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj as examples.

One commenter wrote: “Doja sings so well it literally has to be Doja, no disrespect to Coi though,” and another added: “Uhhhh Nicki Minaj is Still very much active in this generation.”

Following her declaration of her versatility, Coi Leray gave a sexy verse to Dave East’s “Sex So Good.” While drawing on her pop/dance repertoire for David Guetta’s “Baby Don’t Hurt Me,” which debuted at No. 72 on this week’s chart, she continues to stay strong on the Billboard Hot 100.

On Friday (July 14), Def Jam Records released East’s new Fortune Favors the Bold album, which features Coi’s most recent assist. Additional features on the album come from Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Jadakiss, G-Eazy, and others.

Leray flaunted her abilities and cockily boasted about her studio prowess before releasing her Coi album last month.

She told XXL, “I feel like now we finally realized that no matter what, I’m amazing at this music shit — my label, team.” “Since I was the first to break on TikTok, I can’t even feel upset if someone refers to me as a TikTok artist. I am aware of how universal and timeless my music is.

The “Players” rapper’s Coi album debuted at No. 102 on the Billboard 200; despite its low sales ranking, she celebrated the achievement as another step forward in her budding career.

Tweeting, “Grateful to have an album on the top 200 for my first week of my album release, again,” she said. “Wow, this time with three hits on the Hot 100. I’m very pleased with myself. Every year has been bigger and better. Continue to stream Coi. It’s a fantastic CD.

Boosie Badazz, however, was unable to comprehend Coi Leray’s dismal album sales.

Leray’s album should have sold at least 100,000 sales, according to the outspoken Baton Rouge native, who made the claim on Twitter while citing the popularity of Billboard Hot 100 hits including “Players,” “Self Love,” and “Baby Don’t Hurt Me.”

The fact that she is the daughter of Benzino, the contentious former owner of The Source magazine, led him to further imply that there may have been foul play involved.
