Announced via social media, CNCPTS revealed its involvement in the summer-long event series, which features vinyl-only DJ sets curated to highlight Boston’s diverse DJ scene. Hosted at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), Vinyl Nights aims to bring people together under the rhythm of carefully selected records, while shining a spotlight on the artists who keep the city’s musical pulse alive.
The collaboration kicked off with an exclusive twist. On the very first Friday of the series, attendees had the opportunity to pre-order the New Balance 2010 ABZORB “Linen” sneaker, a sleek, neutral-toned release, before its global drop. The early access speaks to CNCPTS’ close ties with New Balance and their ongoing efforts to blend lifestyle culture with grassroots energy.
But that’s not where the local love ends.
CNCPTS also tapped @brekone, a Boston-based DJ, visual artist, and all-around creative, to co-design a limited-edition CNCPTS Vinyl Nights tee. The shirt is more than merch, it’s a wearable tribute to the city’s scene and the energy of the event. Fans will be able to snag the exclusive tee in limited quantities starting Friday, August 1st via cncpts.com and in person at the ICA during the Vinyl Nights gatherings throughout the month.
