Circulate, the LA-based fashion label by designer Corey Populus, has partnered with Harlem’s National Jazz Museum for a Holiday 2024 collection. The collaboration celebrates jazz through a ready-to-wear lineup featuring iconic imagery and bold designs.
The collection includes varsity jackets, cardigans, hoodies, T-shirts, and trousers adorned with legendary jazz photography by William P. Gottlieb, a prominent chronicler of New York City’s golden jazz era.
Key pieces include the Black Cats Varsity Jacket, with a leopard print collar and Miles Davis’ famous quote: “Don’t play what’s there, play what’s not there.” The Miles Cardigan takes inspiration from Davis’ leopard print suit at the 1967 Newport Jazz Festival, while the “Café Society” T-shirt honors Billie Holiday’s 1939 performance of “Strange Fruit” at NYC’s Café Society.
The Circulate x National Jazz Museum collection is now available on Circulate’s webstore.
