Chris Brown surprised fans in Manchester on June 15 by bringing out 50 Cent during his UK tour stop. The appearance came as 50 was also in the UK for a festival, and Brown introduced him mid-set, noting it was to celebrate his birthday. 50 Cent performed “What Up Gangsta?” to a cheering crowd.
This show took place in the same city where Brown was arrested a month earlier. During his set, he thanked fans for their support and also acknowledged the prison where he was held, saying they were kind to him during his time there.
Brown’s arrest stemmed from a 2023 nightclub incident in London, for which he was charged with grievous bodily harm. Initially denied bail, he was released on June 13 after posting nearly $7 million and agreeing to conditions including staying in the UK and surrendering his passport.
50 Cent publicly supported Brown during his legal situation, praising his artistry and celebrating his release. Chris Brown later shared a brief message on Instagram: “FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!!” He returned for a second Manchester show on June 16.
