Chitho Shines in Debut Interview, Previews New Project ‘Problem Child’.

Chitho, hailing from Brockton—often referred to as “the 8″—grew up as an only child with his mother, Lady Lee, a rapper who significantly shaped his musical interests. His stepdad entered the picture when Chitho was around eight years old.

Chitho’s passion for rap ignited at a young age, starting with battle rap during his junior high and high school years. It wasn’t until ninth grade that he began to take music seriously, learning to rap over beats. Now signed to the BSG (Brock Street Gang) label, he has the support of Brock Styles, a pivotal figure in his career. Chitho has released projects like the ‘Legendary Legacies’ EP and has collaborated with artists such as K Flock, Don Q, and Billy B. Chitho recently gained recognition with a song featured on a Billboard in Times Square, New York. He performed at the South by Southwest festival and is currently working on a new project titled ‘Problem Child’. Upcoming shows include a performance in Providence, RI, on Halloween.

Chitho cites Drake as his biggest inspiration, proudly declaring himself “probably the number one Drake fan in the world.” Other notable influences include Jay-Z, whose ‘Black Album’ was his first purchase, along with Fabulous and members of The Locks. He describes his musical style as “explosive, consistent, and exciting.”

The interview wraps up with a freestyle performance, highlighting Chitho’s belief in the importance of chasing dreams despite facing challenges.
