According to Charlamagne Tha God, Kendrick Lamar and Drake are not yet deserving of a place among the Top 10 best rappers of all time.
This week, the co-host of The Breakfast Club weighed in on Billboard and VIBE’s list of the Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time and wasn’t hesitant to challenge Kendrick and Drake’s rankings at Nos. 2 and 8, respectively.
As both of the top rappers from Compton and Toronto have long careers ahead of them, according to Charlamagne, it is “too early” to bring up either of them when discussing the G.O.A.T. rappers.
“I feel like it’s too early for Drake and Kendrick to be saying stuff like that,” he said as DJ Envy read aloud Billboard and VIBE‘s Top 10 picks. “Of all time? God damn! Penis is a form of transportation for y’all.”
Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been two of the best rappers in the game for more than a decade despite Charlamagne Tha God’s remarks. Both have received a ton of praise from critics and fans alike for their enormous economic and critical success, as well as for elevating culture.
