Chance The Rapper Nears Completion Of New Album Star Line Gallery After Five-Year Hiatus.

It’s been almost five years since Chance The Rapper released his last album, *The Big Day*. However, fans might not have to wait much longer for a follow-up, if Chance’s latest update is accurate. The rapper from Chicago has been specific about his progress on the new album.

Chance began teasing his new album, *Star Line Gallery*, in 2022. According to a recent interview with Complex, he estimates that he’s “83,” “83.5,” or “82.7” percent finished. Initially stating the album was 85 percent done, he then humorously revised his estimate, saying, “That’s a little generous. I’ma say 83. 83.5, 82.7. We’re living in the project right now. The thing is, no one has the attention span for what the conversation needs to be. So, I’m piecing it together and living in it with my fans… so I’m really enjoying the process time.”

The journey has included a steady stream of new songs, such as “Writing Exercises,” “The Highs And The Lows” with Joey Badass, the Afrofusion track “Yah Know,” and recent singles “Buried Alive,” “Together,” and “Stars Out.”

With Chance releasing singles more frequently and the album being over 80 percent complete, Star Line Gallery could be arriving soon, even if it missed its initial release target.
