Cardi B says she wants to expand her family. In a preview for her upcoming appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the rapper confirmed she plans to have more children. When Hudson asked if she wanted more kids, Cardi smiled and said yes, joking that “the more kids you have, the less of a possibility you go to a nursing home. One of them is gonna wipe my butt.”
She also joked about running out of space for tattoos with her children’s names, saying she has so many already and doesn’t know where to place her youngest daughter Blossom’s name. Instead, she’s considering a cherry blossom tree design. Cardi is already the mother of three children Kulture, born in 2018, Wave in 2021, and Blossom, born last September, all of whom she shares with her ex, Offset.
During the interview, Cardi shared stories about her kids, including Kulture drawing on her Birkin bag. She explained how she tries to keep them grounded despite their lifestyle, mentioning that they spend time with cousins and relatives in the Dominican Republic, where they are expected to help with chores. “I want them to know there’s another world out there that is not your world,” she said.
Recently, Cardi denied rumors of another pregnancy during an Instagram Live session after a viewer speculated she looked 30 weeks pregnant. She clarified that her shortness of breath was due to asthma. Earlier this month, she also confronted a reporter who asked if she was expecting another child with Offset and if paternity issues could arise with her current boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. Cardi threw a marker pen at him, calling the question disrespectful and reminding him to respect women.
Cardi’s sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, is set for release on Sept. 19.
