Cardi B says her long-awaited sophomore album is still coming, though fans will have to wait a little longer. On a recent livestream, she explained that the delay isn’t fully in her control, blaming the complexities of release bundles and outside dependencies.
“It’s really, really not my fault. Well it kind of is, but it’s kind of not,” she said. “This bundle sh*t be annoying.” Cardi added she would’ve announced the album last week if it were up to her.
Despite setbacks, she’s excited for fans to hear it. Speaking to Billboard in April, she described the project as “messy” and “unexpected,” with a mix of heartbreak and “lover girl” tracks.
In the meantime, Cardi has gone public with her new relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs, appearing together at a New York Knicks game after months of speculation.
