Cardi B and Offset have officially welcomed their third child, sharing the joyful news with sweet family photos from the hospital. In an Instagram post on Thursday, September 12, Cardi announced that their baby girl was born on September 7.
Describing her as “the prettiest lil thing” with flower emojis, Cardi didn’t reveal her name but proudly shared moments from the hospital. The photos showed Cardi holding her new daughter, Offset bonding with the baby, and their older children, Kulture and Wave, meeting their new sibling. Aunt Hennessy also came to meet her niece.
Interestingly, the new arrival will celebrate her birthday just a few days apart from her brother Wave, whose birthday is on September 4. Despite their ongoing divorce, Cardi and Offset reunited to throw Wave a plane-themed birthday party as he turned three, with food by chef Franklin Rosario and MrBeast Burger for the younger guests.
Cardi’s divorce filing, which occurred on August 1, was first reported by TMZ. The split is not due to cheating rumors that have surrounded their seven-year relationship. A source mentioned that the divorce had been anticipated for a while, and although the couple tried to reconcile earlier this year, they were unable to resolve their differences.
Despite the amicable split, Cardi has hired a top divorce attorney and is seeking primary custody of their two children, along with the newborn. The couple, who married in 2017, have had a tumultuous relationship, previously impacted by a cheating scandal in 2017. Cardi also filed for divorce in 2020 but later withdrew. Their relationship hit another rough patch last year when Cardi revealed she had been “single” for a while.
