Cam'ron Uses Ja Morant's Failed Hoopscareer As A Cautionary Tale: "Don't Be Me"

Using his unsuccessful basketball career as a lesson for the troubled NBA star, Cam’ron has given J Morant some career counsel.

The Texas-based rapper Dipset reflected about being expelled for shooting someone while posting old photographs of himself playing college basketball at Navarro Junior College on Instagram on Sunday, June 11.

He continued by telling Morant, who is already dealing with his own repercussions for carrying a firearm, to concentrate on his work.

In college, I was on bull shit, Cam’ron wrote. “I was expelled for flogging an n-gga with a handgun. Fortunately, I had a plan B and a plan C (which I don’t support). Ja, you can’t rap like I can! As you can see, it’s a little fuzzy, but the set was there anyway.

In response to media reports that Ja Morant had started a “healing process,” Cam’ron characterized the gun controversy around him in March as “Gary Coleman Syndrome.”

He exclaimed, “The fuck is a healing process?!” at the time. “See, you know what happens on some G crap, and I’m not being humorous or any of this nonsense because they’ll say we’re insensitive because we were raised in a different time period.

“N-ggas need to stop pretending to have good mental health. When n-ggas are in difficulty and are acting improperly, n-ggas turn to it. What do you know? I blacked out, and my head isn’t functioning properly.

When dancers requested an apology from Ja Morant in May after he brandished a gun inside a Colorado strip club, the Harlem native later commented on the situation.

He remarked, “Okay, I heard about kicking a dog when he’s down, but y’all bitches buggin. “Listen, you’d be hyped and full of crap if Pooh Shiesty walked in there with a pistol and stuck it all in your face.

You would perform a muthafuckin’ backflip and adore it if [Lil] Durk came in there and slapped you with the pistol as long as he was throwing money at you. Now that Ja Morant is going through a little bit, you guys see it’s all about the NBA and gun control.

Every night, an n-gga has a gun in the strip club. It’s an n-gga inside with a gun, and he’ll turn your girls on. When you see the pistol, you all become thrilled.

“N-gga drinks a bottle, shows you the gun, fires a few 1s, and you either go home or slide with that n-gga. Now that Ja Morant is down, do you want to kick him? That is messed up.

Now, Adam Silver and the rest of the NBA have a right to do that, he said. Every night you dancers see firearms. Cut the b****. That’s what I think.
