Caev Drops Independent Project ‘JUNGLEJUXE,’ Release Rave Set for June 20.

Boston artist Caev has officially announced his new 12-track project JUNGLEJUXE, available now via CaevsCorner.com. The independent release went live on June 10, with a release event scheduled for June 20.

Described by the artist as a reflection of his roots and city’s cultural blend, JUNGLEJUXE draws from Afro, Caribbean, and Latin influences that shape the rhythm of Boston’s parties and underground spaces. “Boston has a sound,” Caev shared in an Instagram post unveiling the project’s cover. “It’s in our blood and in our parties. JUNGLEJUXE is that sound. A sound for the city.”

The cover art, created by Kuwabara, holds personal meaning for Caev, who reflected on growing up “different” in Boston. “I wasn’t like the rest of the gorillas…but I’m still from The Jungle. And I know what The Jungle sounds like,” he wrote.

In keeping with the independent spirit of the project, Caev has taken the rollout into his own hands. The announcement was accompanied by bold messaging—“I work 222hard for just pennies”—a reference to the hustle behind releasing music without major label support. From production to promotion, the release reflects a DIY ethos. Contributors include producer Jon Glass, videographer Rayymond, and a close-knit creative team featuring Dkat, Zakiyajanae, Ana Doring, and 20dollars.

To mark the occasion, Caev will host a JUNGLEJUXE Release Rave on June 20. While additional details are still to come, the event promises to continue the energy of the project in a live setting.

JUNGLEJUXE is available now through CaevsCorner.com, with merch and exclusive content expected to follow.
