Manny, originally from the Bronx, NY, now resides in Fall River, Massachusetts, though he maintains ties to Rhode Island’s music scene. While he acknowledges Fall River as his current base, he makes it clear that he doesn’t limit himself to just one city when it comes to his career.
Celebrating 10 years in music, Manny reflected on his growth, noting that he’s been taking things more seriously for the past seven years. He emphasized the importance of networking and stepping outside one’s hometown to build a fanbase, acknowledging that artists often find more support outside their own cities.
When asked about where he has the biggest following, Manny pointed out that while he’s gaining traction in Fall River and Rhode Island, he doesn’t focus on just one location. Instead, he values interactive fans—those who engage with his content beyond just telling him his music is good. He stressed the importance of likes, shares, and real engagement, rather than empty praise.
Manny revealed that BSO originally stood for “Big Step Only”, reflecting his street background. However, as he evolved, he rebranded the name to “Brotherly Struggle Overcame”, signifying growth and resilience. Looking ahead, he’s open to expanding BSO into a business or label, though he wants to gain more industry knowledge first.
While he’s not officially managing artists, Manny is open to mentoring talent, sharing his experiences, and helping others avoid the mistakes he made. However, he emphasizes that artists must be willing to put in the work and retain knowledge—he can only help those who are serious about their growth.
Manny is currently focused on music videos and strategic planning for his team. While he’s open to working with new artists, he’s prioritizing his own projects and ensuring his team moves forward together.
