Bryson Tiller Announces August 8 Release Date for The Vices, First Half of His Double Album.

Bryson Tiller has confirmed the release date for The Vices, the first half of his upcoming double album Solace & The Vices. The new project is set to drop on August 8 via Trapsoul/RCA Records. According to its press release, The Vices will highlight the Louisville artist’s “gritty, high-energy side,” leaning more into rap than his usual R&B sound.

On Instagram, Tiller explained the approach, saying, “It’s hard to call one a ‘rap album’ and the other ‘R&B’ because I can’t help but to do both on every song. Just know that this is a TRUE double album and not just 20+ songs that I wanted to share.”

He also opened up about the mindset behind each half. “When I was writing Solace, my number one goal was to treat it like therapy and say exactly what was on my mind, finding comfort during my times of sadness,” he wrote. “That felt good. With The Vices, I decided to get rid of my vices completely and prove to myself that I didn’t need weed, alcohol, and all the other shenanigans to have fun. I’ve been sober ever since.”

So far, Tiller has kept a low profile aside from a few collaborations with Tink and Chris Brown. With The Vices on the way, fans can expect more updates and music as the release date approaches.
