Bruno Mars Sets Spotify Record With 150 Million Monthly Listeners.

Bruno Mars has broken records, becoming the first artist to surpass 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The milestone, announced on January 27, comes just two months after he overtook The Weeknd’s record of 120.7 million listeners. Mars’ listeners now account for over a quarter of Spotify’s global user base of 640 million as of Q3 2024.

Despite not releasing a solo album since 24K Magic in 2016, Mars remains a dominant force in streaming. Recent hits include Die With A Smile featuring Lady Gaga, which has amassed 1.67 billion streams, and APT. with BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ, which surpassed 1 billion streams. The latter made history as the first K-pop track to top Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart and reached No. 3 on the Hot 100.

Mars continues to gain recognition for his collaborations. Die With A Smile is currently nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the upcoming 2025 Grammys. Meanwhile, his latest release, Fat Juicy & Wet with Sexyy Red, dropped on January 24. The accompanying music video, featuring Lady Gaga and ROSÉ, has already racked up 8.2 million views on YouTube in three days.

With 17 songs in his catalog surpassing one billion Spotify streams, including classics like Just the Way You Are and Locked Out of Heaven, Mars solidifies his status as a global music icon.
