Fans left the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, calling the experience “amazing” after Brandy and Monica wrapped a two-night stop on their co-headlining The Boy Is Mine Tour on Sunday night (Nov. 9).
Since kicking off in Cincinnati on Oct. 16, the 32-date tour has thrilled audiences nationwide, and Los Angeles was no exception. Across six acts, the R&B icons performed classics from both catalogs — including Monica’s “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days)” and Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down” — before closing with their iconic duet, “The Boy Is Mine.” The pair also honored Whitney Houston with a heartfelt tribute.
The sold-out shows drew a long list of celebrity guests. Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Queen Latifah, and Jenifer Lewis were all spotted in the crowd. LL Cool J surprised fans onstage with “Luv U Better,” while O.T. Genasis, Blxst, and Mario also performed. The first night featured Kehlani, Ty Dolla $ign, 50 Cent, and Miguel.
Openers Jamal Roberts, Muni Long, and Kelly Rowland energized the audience both nights, with Rowland performing hits like “Motivation,” “Dilemma,” and several Destiny’s Child songs.
Backed by striking visuals and choreography, The Boy Is Mine Tour continues Nov. 13 in Charlotte, with stops in New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Jacksonville before concluding Dec. 14.
