Boston’s Shaq Reed Reflects on Dancing With Chris Brown in New Interview With Mike Deez.

Local content creator Mike Deez recently sat down with Shaq Reed, one of Chris Brown’s background dancers, for a conversation that highlighted Reed’s journey, his Boston roots, and advice for aspiring performers.

Speaking about the experience of working with Chris Brown, Reed described it as “a blessing,” noting that he doesn’t even know how he got to where he is in life at the moment.

He also emphasized his connection to Boston, explaining that although many people may not know he is from the city, it continues to shape his identity. “Boston is everything,” he said, adding, “I’m Boston heavy bro, always,” while noting that he has been away for nearly ten years.

Reed also offered words of encouragement for younger dancers hoping to elevate their careers: “Just keep going.” He proudly mentioned representing his neighborhood as part of his identity and story.

The interview, captured on video by DJ Gurdy, took place around the Breezy Bowl in Boston at Fenway Park, where Chris Brown performed.
