Boston has always been a city full of history, culture, and a sense of community. But in recent years, a new wave of creatives has emerged, breathing fresh life into Beantown. 617, the latest photoshoot project by photographer and artist drzthespirit, is here to highlight exactly that: the soul, art, and culture that define Boston today.
The project took place at OneOneNine.co and brought together a diverse group of models, photographers, musicians, and creatives from different backgrounds to capture the essence of Boston’s artistic community. It’s not just about the city’s iconic streets or buildings, but the people who are actively shaping its culture and pushing boundaries in the arts.
In an Instagram post reflecting on the project, drzthespirit shared his gratitude for everyone who contributed to making 617 a reality. “Thank you so much to all the amazing models, photographers, directors, musicians, and creatives that showed face at the Six One Seven at @oneonenine.co,” he wrote. “Words cannot express the joy, beauty, and power that exist within Boston, and it was an honor to have the creatives and soul behind the city as a muse for this project.”
The photographer also gave a nod to his collaborators, tagging Highrise Lifestyle and Concept Magazine, who have been instrumental in supporting Boston’s creative community. But most importantly, the project was a love letter to the city itself. “And again, thank you Boston ❤️,” he added.
The project is not just about the visuals or the art—it’s about what the people behind the scenes are contributing to Boston’s culture. It is a testament to how Boston’s creatives are pushing boundaries, creating new spaces for expression, and giving the city a fresh identity in the process.
