LaShawn Johnson founded Sires Crown Natural Hair Essentials after treating her grandson’s cradle cap with a homemade oil blend. The remedy healed his scalp and sparked the launch of her business in 2022.
Sires Crown offers plant-based products including mist and oil blends made with Horsetail Grass, Rosemary, and Peppermint. Johnson’s goal is to support Black men, women, and children by improving hair health and restoring self-confidence.
Her work coincides with the CROWN Act becoming law in Texas, protecting Black hairstyles from discrimination. Johnson sees her products as part of a broader mission: “Our hair doesn’t need fixing. It needs nourishment,” she says.
