Black Woman Doctor-Turned-Designer Launches Ultra-Luxury Handbag Line Vie Lorie

Dr. Verniese Lorielle Moore, a respected African American physician and stage 3 lymphoma survivor, has launched Vie Lorie, an ultra-luxury handbag line blending medical precision with elegant design. After overcoming a life-threatening diagnosis in 2010, Dr. Moore created the brand as a tribute to resilience, empowerment, and excellence. Each piece carries a symbolic laurel wreath charm and reflects her journey from medicine to fashion.

Vie Lorie, meaning “Life of Victory,” is more than a brand—it’s a philosophy. “We don’t just craft handbags—we empower ambition, inspire fearlessness, and honor grace,” said Dr. Moore. Every design is intentional, offering timeless, functional art that mirrors her dedication to details that endure and heal.

The debut “Tryumph Collection” features four sculptural handbags crafted in Italy from crocodile-embossed, full-grain, ethically sourced leathers and bespoke hardware. Each bag is a numbered heirloom, with standout designs like the structured Vanna and the poetic Vittoria. Exclusivity is core to the brand, with private trunk shows, limited production, handwritten notes from the founder, and no mass production or storefronts.

Vie Lorie has already gained interest from celebrities and public figures, and the Tryumph Collection is set to be showcased at New York Fashion Week in September 2025. Private viewings will be available this fall at the brand’s showroom in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
