Marsha Guerrier, entrepreneur and founder of HerSuiteSpot, has launched a new venture combining culture, care, and clean beauty. Her latest project, YvaMarie New York, is a premium Black-owned skincare brand inspired by her Haitian heritage and backed by modern science.
After years spent mentoring women entrepreneurs through HerSuiteSpot, Guerrier is expanding her mission to support women in a new way—by addressing the skin concerns many face throughout their lives. From hormonal changes to environmental stress, Guerrier’s own journey as a mother, wife, and entrepreneur led her to experience skin issues like hyperpigmentation, dullness, and fine lines. That experience sparked the idea for a skincare line rooted in both tradition and innovation.
The name YvaMarie pays tribute to two women who shaped Guerrier’s values and understanding of healing—her grandmother Yva and her mother Marie. Both women believed in the power of natural remedies, a philosophy that deeply influenced the brand’s foundation.
YvaMarie New York blends nutrient-rich botanicals with clinically effective ingredients. Key elements include Gotu Kola, Goji Berry, Green Tea, and Bakuchiol—a plant-based alternative to retinol. The brand’s initial product launch includes:

In line with her commitment to women’s empowerment, Guerrier is also using YvaMarie New York to give back. Ten percent of the brand’s profits will go to the Yva Jourdan Foundation, supporting the HerRise MicroGrant Program, which provides funding to women-led businesses in underserved communities.
