The countdown has officially begun. With 30 days to go, Black Market Nubian has announced the return of its signature summer event — the 5th Annual Black Market Nubian Block Party, dubbed “Summer of X.” The all-day outdoor celebration is set to take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 12 PM to 8 PM in the heart of Nubian Square, Roxbury.
Designed as both a cultural gathering and a community-driven celebration, this year’s edition places a spotlight on the Caribbean diaspora and its far-reaching influence on music, identity, and resistance. In the announcement on Instagram, organizers described the upcoming event as “our moment to honor the legacy of our island roots” and “the iconic contributions of Artists of Caribbean Descent that have touched the world through hip-hop, reggae, and beyond.”

The event will feature live DJ sets, artist performances, local vendors, island-inspired cuisine, and a vibrant open-air dance floor that invites all ages to take part in a day grounded in unity, revolution, and celebration.
