Black Irish Group & KickBack Boston Open Summer With Day Party Focused on Vibes and Community.

The first installment of BRNCH., a new limited summer event series curated by Black Irish Group and KickBack Boston, kicked off on Saturday, June 14, bringing Afrobeats, food, and community together on the outdoor patio of Allston Events.

Billed as “Yam & Eggs: Afrobeats Edition,” the afternoon-to-evening gathering drew a steady crowd from across Greater Boston for a day party that merged cultural rhythm with a laid-back brunch experience. Held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the event marked the beginning of a four-part series aimed at highlighting global Black sounds and local creative energy.

DJs SuperSmashBroz and Slick Vick led the sonic direction of the day, spinning a mix of contemporary Afrobeats, highlife, amapiano, and hip-hop-infused sounds while guests rotated between dancefloor and brunch tables.

The event was hosted at 1234 Soldier Field Road in Allston, a space that has become a recurring location for Black-led community programming throughout the warmer seasons.

BRNCH. is set to continue with three more events throughout the summer, each featuring a new theme and sonic palette. Organizers from both groups say the goal is to create space for cultural expression, cross-community gathering, and leisure for Boston’s diverse young professionals and creatives.

Details for Part 2 of the series will be announced in the coming weeks.
