Billboard has confirmed the full details for its Hip-Hop & R&B LIVE concert, scheduled as the main event during Hip-Hop & R&B Week. The free show will take place on September 5, 2025, at Webster Hall in New York City, with Leon Thomas as the headliner.
Alongside Thomas, the lineup includes GELO, Odeal, and Ravyn Lenae, all performing as part of Billboard’s push to highlight rising names in both genres. The concert is presented in partnership with State Farm®, which will also sponsor interactive activations such as a T-shirt printing station. L’Oreal’s Ralph’s Club brand will host a photo booth experience at the event.
“Billboard has always been at the forefront of recognizing and promoting emerging talent,” said Billboard CEO Mike Van in a press statement. “This concert is a testament to the vibrant future of hip-hop and R&B and our commitment to celebrating artists who are shaping the music landscape.”
Fans can RSVP for the event through Billboard’s Hip-Hop LIVE website.
Leon Thomas earned his spot as headliner following the success of his single “MUTT,” produced by D. Phelps and Freaky Rob, which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. On July 9, Thomas and Odeal released their first joint single, “Miami,” a guitar-driven collaboration.
GELO entered music after his basketball career, gaining attention in January 2025 with “Tweaker,” which reached No. 29 on the Hot 100. His debut album, League of My Own, is scheduled for release on July 18.
Ravyn Lenae rounds out the lineup, bringing her distinctive R&B style to the stage. Her 2024 single “Love Me Not” became a breakout moment, also peaking at No. 12 on the Hot 100.
Additional events tied to Billboard’s Hip-Hop & R&B Week are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
